This past Sunday, Kevin had to work - again. So Madelynn and I spent the day at my parents and she got to spend some time with a few of her "greats" The picture above is of my mom's aunt, Madelynn's Great-Great Aunt Norma. This was Aunt Norma's first time to meet Maddy and they both enjoyed one another. Aunt Norma and Uncle Udell's house was always fun to visit when we were kids. They lived out in the country and raised sheep. So when we went to see them we would get to visit the sheep and cats in the barn. My uncle was also a bee keeper, and they had stand at the Madison County Fair for over forty years with honey, honey candy, and a bee hive. It was great to see her and to be able to visit with her. We are looking forward to seeing them again at their 50th Anniversary party in September.

My grandparent's came for dinner that evening. Great Grandma and Maddy played with some toys while we waited for Kevin to arrive after work.

Okay, this picture isn't of one of Maddy's greats, but it does have a funny story behind it. Lucy is ridiculous. As soon as my mom walked into her kitchen, Lucy parked herself under the table. Mind you this photo was taken a good hour before we were going to be eating. Lucy doesn't care. If she thinks food's about to go on the table she parks herself directly under it. Heaven forbid she miss out on being able to mooch something tasty. On the upside she did remember that she is a lapdog this visit and not a hunting dog - no birds were harmed on Sunday.
All in all it was a fun day for all of us.
