Seven Months and Counting
This past Saturday, was Madelynn's seven month birthday. She is getting so big. She weighs 18 pounds now, and is about 26 inches long. She is sitting completely by herself now. Madelynn is army crawling at a pretty good clip to where ever she wants to go. In fact last week, she pushed one of the dogs' tennis balls down the vent in our living room while I was throwing something away in the kitchen. She just stared back and forth between looking down the vent and looking up at me as if to say,"Where did it go?" Lucy wasn't impressed and decided to hide Maddy's basketballs from her. Madelynn can also pull herself to a standing position, and because of that we had to lower her crib. She makes both the "mama" and "dada" sounds but we really don't think she is referring to us when she says them, just babbling. She is eating veggies and will have fruits added into the mix this next week. Maddy also tried a cracker for the first time last night and enjoyed it very much, as she did the fist fulls of mash potatoes she grabbed off of my plate at the wedding we attended on Saturday. Watch for more posts this next month, we have a lot of blog worthy events happening: salsa making, vacation, Halloween, Great Grandma Boda's birthday party and of course Madelynn's everyday cuteness.
