Kevin and I have been looking at houseplans online for sometime now. We plan to build on our ground in a year and a half to two years. With some modifications, the below link is one of our favorites so far. One of my favorite features is the his and her walk in closets, notice the size descrepency. We are excited about building, and are looking forward to it being a learning experience for us both. It will be exciting to have a home that was our vision from the ground breaking to the final coats of paint being applied. I know it will be a lot of work and will require sacrifices, but I think it will be worth it in the end.
