Chicago Trip

At the end of the summer, we took a mini vacation to Chicago with my family.  My sister and brother-in-law were going up for the Cubs Cards game for her birthday and invited us to go along.  I must say that while the city is beautiful and full of lots of fun things to do, I will never ever live there.

We ate at Rainforest Cafe the first evening.  Emma like the big tree frog.  Maddy was on MawMaw or PawPaws lap at a safe distance from the big green fellow.

Maddy wanted to ride the train at Navy Pier.  A big surprise to us was that she actually liked it.

Our family at the end of the Pier.  Maybe when the girls are older we will get pics with everyone looking.

Nini and Uncle Dave with the skyline in the background.

We also took a boat tour of the architecture of the city.  Immediately after the tour we were drenched by a down pour.

Luckily the skys cleared and we were able to attend the game.  The girls were given first time at Wrigley certificates.  Unfortunately the Cubs actually won that day, but it was a good game and fun to share with my family.

Hopefully it wasn't the last time we will be able to see Number 5 playing in a Cards uniform.
