Sorry, this post just got out of order because I accidently deleted this picture and had to reinsert it. Anyway, the above picture is of my dad riding in the fire truck near the front of the parade. Maybe next year Maddy can help him throw out some candy.

My Aunt Barb came down to visit us this past weekend. Here are her and Maddy playing with her play gym at Grandma's house. We really enjoyed spending time with her and I am glad she made time for us in her schedule to come visit. We also went to the Alhambra homecoming and the rest of the post shows pictures from the parade.

Here is the crew walking from Dave and Lindsey's house to the park for the parade. My Aunt Barb and cousin Debbie are leading the way.

My Uncle Gary, he is the one closest to the camera with the gun, marched in the color guard to start the parade. Notice how instep they all are.

Here is Aunt Lindsey holding Madelynn in her new "poke present" waiting for the parade to begin. What is a poke present you ask? When Maddy was in Cardinal Glennon, Lindsey said that everytime she got poked with a needle she earned a present. Thank you for the cute outfit Aunt Lindsey!
Here is Grandma and Jeanne in the truck for National Bank.

Uncle Gary held Maddy after he was finished marching in the parade. To everyone's surprise, she didn't start crying. He tends to have that affect on babies. The parade was fun to watch, and Madelynn wasn't upset by any of the sirens or bands. We think she is used to sudden loud noises because of the dogs. She hears a loud noise and just kind of looks around to see where it is comming from. The homecomming was fun, the best part was that we got to watch the parade, eat, and go home. No rides for us yet!
Heather, I just have to warn you about the dog in the picture with Aunt Barb...in case you haven't found out already. Ella got one of those for Christmas last year. We didn't realize it when we left my parents house, but we hadn't turned it off. When we got home we simply dumped all the toys on the living room floor so we could all go to bed. After we had been in bed a couple minutes we heard "Peek-a-boo, I see you!" If you don't turn the dog off, it will randomly say things. Needless to say, it scared us to death. :)
