A few weeks ago, my mom hosted a baby playdate/meet and greet. The guests of honor were the two cutie pies in this photo. Our very own Emma and Miss Alaina Grapperhaus. Alaina is Jamie (Kruckeburg) Grapperhaus's little girl. She was born just five days after Emma. Mom is very good friends with Lori, Alaina's proud grandma. A few of the other ladies from card club, and church dropped by to meet the girls that day. It was a really nice afternoon.
Maddy also had a playmate that day, Ella Kirbach, who is the daughter of Julie Brinker Kirbach.
Along with my parents, Julie's and Jamie's also belong to a card club. This is a group of some of my parent's closest friends and as a result all of us kids grew up together, and now the grandkids are getting the opportunity to play together, which is really very neat. Ella is a sweat little girl and was very patient while playing with Maddy who doesn't quite have the concept of taking turns and sharing down.

Madelynn really likes to splash, and I must admit it is fun to watch her playing around in her little pool and water table.
The day was fun for us all but wore Emma out.
