The Big First Birthday Bash

Here are several pictures from Madelynn's birthday party. They are in no particular order so I'll just narrate the pictures as we go, and hopefully you can get an idea of what her party was like.

Here she is on the island with her smash cake.

Maw Maw (Grandma Boda) made her a big panda bear cake to dig into.

She also made small panda bear cakes for the rest of the kids.

Here we are opening presents. Notice her cute birthday hat.

She didn't necessarily love it, but we were able to get several good pictures.

Thank you to everyone who was there to celebrate her first year with us,

and to those of you who were there in spirit and sent cards and gifts for her.
We appreciate everyone's thoughtful gifts,

and Maddy is playing with all of them already!

We had Italian beef sandwiches, moscacoli, chips, green beans, and corn.

The Brindley's were a big help that night.

The kept a good eye on Maddy for us, and helped her to play with her toys.

My mom made this cake for her because my grandmother made

one for all of us on our first birthdays.

This is Maddy's other cake.

Our neighbor from down the street made this cake for us.

It was pretty tasty.

The party was a success and I think we have all recovered from the evening.

Tomorrow is Maddy's one year doctor appointment.

I'll try to post her final caterpillar picture and check up information tomorrow night.
