On Sunday, October 25th, we celebrated my grandmother's birthday. It has been a tradition in my family for many years, for the entire family to get together to celebrate our grandparent's birthdays, and I am so glad we do it. What a great way to honor them and to celebrate the life they have lived and the lessons they have taught us all. Madelynn also modeled her Halloween costume, and got some goodies from everyone. Maddy decided to help Great Grandma with her gift opening. I predict this Christmas that she will be much more into the packages, ribbons, boxes, bags, and paper than what is inside them!
We ate taco soup, chicken noodle soup, and vegetable beef soup for supper and had birthday cake and ice cream for dessert. It was a fun night, and it was great that my cousin Katie happened to be home from college in warm, sunny Florida to celebrate with us all.
