Madelynn's First Halloween

Madelynn was a lady bug this year for Halloween. We didn't go trick or treating for three reasons: 1. She is too little for candy and we don't need it. 2. Her costume didn't fit in her car seat. 3. Daddy worked. However she did show off her costume at Grandma's birthday party and also wore it on Halloween at my sister's house. This is how we did spend our first Halloween: On Friday evening, Maddy, the dogs, and I passed out candy to trick or treaters in Germantown. This was interesting to say the least. Picture if you will two dogs and a baby all trying to get out the door as you are passing out the candy. Fun times! I finally put the leashes on the dogs and stood on Lucy's to keep her from licking the trick or treaters to death. On Saturday, Halloween itself, my sister and Dave had us all over for soup and to see the trick or treaters in Alhambra. Maddy modeled her costume again and Kevin was able to join us after he got off work. We also attempted to play Rock Band which was a scary thing in itself. All in all Maddy had a nice first Halloween.
